What I like most about these gluten-free chocolate recipes is that they are EASY. You don't need to spend hours in your kitchen to make these decadent and elegant chocolate desserts.

When you go shopping for gluten-free ingredients, make sure to check out this Costco gluten-free shopping guide and this Walmart gluten-free shopping guide to make sure you make the most of your trip to the grocery store!

Gluten-Free Cooking and Baking with Chocolate

    - Keep in mind that ALL chocolate is gluten-free! It includes dark chocolate, baking chocolate, milk chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate, white chocolate, and chocolate chips (if there is ANYTHING I missed, it is also gluten-free!).

    - Chocolate is generally made of cacao beans, milk powder, and sugar. So, be assured, you are not in danger of unknowingly eating gluten UNLESS the chocolate bar has cookies (Oreos, crackers, etc.).

Note: if you have celiac disease or you are highly sensitive to gluten, you might need to make sure the chocolate is LABELED gluten-free (certified) to avoid cross-contamination (it happens when equipment used at the factory has gluten remains).

    - Cooking methods: melting, chopping, and grating. You might need to melt your chocolate if you want to drizzle or coat something in it. The best way to melt chocolate is over a double boiler or in a microwave. If you don't have chocolate chips, you can chop the chocolate instead. Finally, to add a final touch to your desserts, top them with grated chocolate!

Did you know? To make a chocolate cake or sauce, you don't always need chocolate. Sometimes all you need is some cocoa powder and sugar!

    Are Ghirardelli Chocolates Gluten-Free?

Yes, all of Ghirardelli's chocolates are gluten-free!

Does Dairy-Free Chocolate Work in Desserts?

Yes, dairy-free chocolate will work just as great in desserts! You can always substitute the chocolate in the recipe for a dairy-free one.
